What owners of independent local service businesses can and cannot verify before the sales call
Owners of independent local service businesses in the United States
Scorpion publishes no prices. This page separates what is verified on the public record — ratings, complaints, contract mechanics, and a single disclosed contract amount — from third-party estimates that are not vendor figures. Where a number could not be confirmed, the field is left empty.
Overview
A technology-enabled managed marketing service for local businesses: agency services plus a proprietary platform marketed as RevenueMAX, covering lead scoring, call tracking, scheduling, and campaign reporting in one client portal. Websites are built, rendered, and hosted on Scorpion's proprietary CMS.

Three themes recur in the documented complaint record: results measured against spend, the length of the transition window after cancellation, and who holds the Google Business Profile after exit. One dispute is unresolved in substance (the agency maintains services were delivered as agreed); one was resolved after a delay.
Fit
Local service operators who want one accountable vendor for site, listings, ads, chat, and reviews rather than assembling a tool stack.
Businesses willing to negotiate price and terms in writing, with the fee split and exit mechanics settled before signing.
Owners who can accept that the site itself is rented: keep an export of your own text and images and treat the design as non-transferable.
Other options
All-in-one platform (website, listings, reviews, ads, lead management) with dedicated contractor and HVAC pages; quote-only pricing like Scorpion.
Named packages (Website Only, SEO, Booster, custom) with no published prices, plus a business management app; quote-based.
Publishes list prices ($99 and $399 per month) and sells the CRM, invoicing, scheduling, and text-marketing layer as well as marketing services.
Publishes prices for its Dash lead-management product ($119 and $199 per month); ad and media services remain quote-only.
Publishes full rate cards for RevenueCloudFX and its lead-management and review bundles, so pricing is comparable before you talk to sales.
Self-serve local SEO and review software with a 14-day free trial and pay-as-you-go citation building; you run the work yourself or with your own staff.
Trade-offs
One consolidated vendor replaces separate providers for hosting, Google Ads management, live chat, and review generation.
Single client portal for lead scoring, call tracking, scheduling, and campaign reporting.
Channel coverage named in service descriptions: Google Search Ads, Google Local Services Ads, Bing, Meta, YouTube.
Lead handling built for service businesses: call recording and tracking, AI lead scoring, web chat, SMS auto-responders, online scheduling, review request automation.
No published plan names, prices, or fee schedules; the price is a negotiation outcome and two similar firms in the same city can pay materially different amounts.
Websites run on a proprietary CMS with no standard WordPress export or raw file handover; layout, code, database, and template do not transfer and a rebuild is required on exit.
Google Ads account and performance history retention depends on whether the account sits in the client's MCC or the vendor's.
Auto-renewing minimum terms with a written notice window; cancellation outside the window or early can trigger fees tied to the remaining balance, and amortized setup or design fees can become payable in full.
The only sourced dollar figure on the public record is a complaint disclosure ($4,200 for HVAC marketing services, contracted August 2025), which is one data point from one dispute.
Verdict
Scorpion is a consolidated managed service, not a product you can price from a page. There is no published rate card, so no public number exists to compare before the sales call; the dollar figures circulating are third-party estimates or one complaint disclosure. What is verifiable is the exit mechanics — proprietary CMS, no code export, conditional ad-account custody, auto-renewing terms — and those should drive the negotiation more than the monthly fee.
Worth a call if
one vendor for site, listings, ads, chat, and reviews matters more than owning the build
The consolidation benefit is real and documented; the price is a negotiation, so enter it with the fee split, notice window, and asset transfer in writing as conditions.
Skip if
you need to compare prices first or keep your website portable
Nothing is published to compare against, and the site does not export; Vendors such as WebFX, Thryv, LocaliQ, and BrightLocal publish numbers you can check before a call.
